The Brighton Heights Citizens Federation once again sponsored a Memorial Day celebration in Legion Park in conjunction with the 27th Ward Veterans’ Committee. It was on Monday, May 31st at 10 AM. Close to 200 neighbors participated in the memorial service. Lunch was provided at the Christ Hope Church after the ceremony.

It is with the support and help of organizations, the community and local businesses that the American Legion is able to honor and pay respect to all past and present veterans on Memorial Day. Donations to help defer the cost of the annual event are always appreciated. Checks may be made payable to the American Legion Riverview Post 681 and mailed to 3412 Reuben St, Pittsburgh, PA 15212.   As much as monetary support is welcome, your presence at the ceremony at Legion Park is the best support you can give for our veterans.  Please put the event on your calendar for next year.
